VW Sitech Dongchang, Shanghai (2008)

Sitech Dongchang, a joint venture between the German Sitech Sitztechnik GmbH, a subsidiary of the Volkswagen AG, and the Chinese Dongchang Group, built their first production facility in Shanghai, Baoshan. The total size of this project was 25,000 m² GFA and included production and office facilities.

The design period including approvals lasted 5 months; the construction was finished after 10 months. The project was characterized by heavy load requirements on floor and foundation, which required special engineering solutions that Bencer provided. Besides these special consulting services, Bencer was hired for the entire Project Management service.
