Wyeth, Suzhou (2009)

Wyeth Picture Wyeth, one of the world largest pharmaceutical companies, invested USD 280 million to build a state-of-the-art nutrition manufacturing facility in the Suzhou Industrial Park, Jiangsu Province, China. The new facility primarily produces infant formula milk powder besides other nutritional products. Today the site is one of the world's largest nutrition manufacturing facilities. The new facility is part of Wyeth's global manufacturing and supply network and will feature state-of-the-art technology for manufacturing milk powder for infants and young children.

Construction was completed at the end of 2009 and the plant was operational by late 2010. At full operation, the plant can employ about 500 employees. Products made at this facility primarily supply the local market.
