Senior Project Manager – India (Ref. 003-SPM-IN)

Job Title: Senior Project Manager

Location: Bangalore, India

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee and drive the successful execution of large-scale industrial construction projects across India. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the industrial construction sector, demonstrating strong leadership, strategic planning, and technical expertise. This role will involve managing multiple stakeholders, ensuring project milestones are achieved within scope, budget, and timeline, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution: Lead end-to-end project management from conception through to completion, including design definition, scheduling, budgeting, quality management and resource allocation.

Team Leadership: Direct, supervise, and coordinate the activities of project teams, including designers, project engineers, construction managers, and contractors. Provide mentorship and support to junior project managers.

Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, regulatory authorities, contractors, and other key stakeholders. Ensure transparent and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize impacts on project deliverables, schedule, and costs.

Quality Assurance and Control: Oversee quality control processes to ensure all construction work meets or exceeds company and industry standards. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance.

Budget Management: Monitor project costs and cash flows, ensuring alignment with approved budgets. Implement cost-saving measures while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Promote and enforce strict adherence to HSE standards and regulations on-site to ensure a safe working environment for all team members and contractors.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, budget reports, and schedule updates, and report to clients and senior management regularly.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. A Master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of project management experience in industrial construction, with a strong background in international invested projects.

Technical Skills: Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project), with a solid understanding of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.

Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities, with proven experience in managing large, cross-functional teams.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi, with the ability to present complex information clearly and confidently.

Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to anticipate and solve issues proactively, with a strategic and analytical mindset.

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of local regulatory requirements, including environmental, safety, and construction codes.

Experience working with international clients and local contractors.

Familiarity with sustainable construction practices.

Project Manager – China (Ref. 001-PM-CH)

The project manager’s main duty is to ensure the success of a project by minimizing risk throughout the lifetime of the project. This is done through a variety of methods, both formal and informal. A project manager will usually have to ask penetrating questions, detect unstated assumptions, and resolve interpersonal conflicts, as well as use more systematic management skills.
To manage successfully the individual team members engaged in the execution and encourage them to the maximum contribution has to be the main task of the project manager.

Responsibilities

Represent the client professionally throughout the project

Define the demands, constraints and requirements of the client

Manage the design, approval, tendering, construction and completion of the project

Establish an effective organisation and reporting structure including all project participants

Monitor and control the project’s schedule, budget and quality

Construction Manager (China)
Construction Manager – China (Ref. 002-CM-CH)

The construction manager’s main duty is to ensure the quality of a project by monitoring the construction execution, build-in materials and used equipment. This is done through a variety of methods, both formal and informal. A construction manager will usually has to check quantity and quality of delivered materials, manage all involved contractors and suppliers, monitor the execution of construction and report particular variations to the project manager.
To keep close track of all current and future execution as well as suppliers and contractors has to be the main task for the construction manager to inform the project manager properly and in time.

Responsibilities

Represent the client professionally throughout the project

Inspect and review constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety codes and other regulations

Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients, representing the owner

Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems

Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out

Assist the client during application and approval procedures

Direct and supervise workers

Requirements
